I am watching a current Saturday Night Live and had a memory of the first time I saw the show.
I had never stayed up that late, but was staying over at a friend's house who knew all about this show I'd never even heard of. She seemed miles ahead of me on the whole 'hip' thing. Also new to me was Coca Cola, which she handed to me in a great big green bottle.
So when I conjure up this memory, it's of a huge, delightful buzz. Caffeine, sugar, and Saturday Night Live. I was just delirious.
Sugar! My first drug of choice!
